The ZenFone 2 has a classic Taiwanese design. I’m mentioning this because the rear of the phone looks almost like that of the HTC M9. The phone also has rear volume buttons, like the LG flagship phones. And the power button is on the top. All this gives the phone a very sophisticated look, which is great for those who are buying the most affordable versions of the phone. All in all this is a great mid-level smartphone. The one thing they have excelled at with this phone is memory. ASUS has taken a step forward with onboard memory. ASUS blazed the trail on this front when it unveiled the ZenFone 2 earlier this year at CES 2015. While most flagship handsets were still doing fine with 3GB of RAM, ASUS made gadget-geek headlines when it announced that its next flagship phone would feature 4 “blipping” gigabytes of RAM.

The Zenfone 2’s build quality is also pretty good for phones in this price range. The back cover may be made of plastic instead of aluminum or glass-like in many high-end phones, but the ZenFone doesn’t look or feel cheap. Its brushed metal finish gives it a premium look. The phone also feels solid and sturdy in the hand and never slippery.
