Wearables – Big companies want your body

Wearables is becoming such big business that they predict that in five years, the amount of money that consumers will spend on wearable tech will skyrocket to $19 billion from $1.4 billion in 2013.

The number of shipments is also expected to rise eight-fold to 64 million in 2017 from the number of units shipped in 2012.
